At Brent Mencap, we are proud to be a leading voluntary sector organisation in Brent, we empower and support people with learning disabilities and other  long-term health conditions. Our mission is to create a healthier and fairer Brent community. We believe everyone, regardless of ability, should have the opportunity to lead a healthy fulfilling and active life, with their rights fully respected and their contributions valued.

Our work is driven by the belief that people with learning disabilities and other health conditions should not only be supported but also empowered to thrive.

 

What We Stand For

We are committed to reducing the barriers that Brent people with learning disabilities and other long-term conditions face. Too often, they experience disadvantage and discrimination in society. We are here to challenge these injustices and create equal opportunities for all. We work in a person centred -way with those we support, ensuring their voices are heard and services are tailored to their unique needs and desires.

 

Supporting Families and Carers

We understand that the families and friends of those with learning disabilities and long-term health conditions also face challenges in their caregiving roles. At Brent Mencap, we are committed to supporting unpaid carers by recognising their vital role and ensuring that they too receive the assistance they need.
